このホームページだけでなく、名刺やパンフレットには「藍鉄」と「月白」という２つの伝統色が使われています。
「藍鉄」は藍色の変異色のひとつとされており、「江戸前」「粋」な色として親しまれた色です。
「月白」は薄い青みを帯びた白色で、和歌や俳諧の主要な題材となっていた夜空に浮かぶ月の光を表した色です。
伝統色には、四季折々の表情が豊かな日本で生きた古人の生活や思考、感性が含まれています。
現代を生きる私たちにも通じる良さがあり、また学ぶところが多くあると感じています。
この２色、私が好きな色というのはもちろんなのですが、「鉄」「藍染」「温泉」という西胆振の特色を感じさせるところも気に入って使っています。
建築が建つ「敷地」には、自然環境的特徴とその地に生きた人々の精神文化が蓄積しており、それぞれそこにしかない固有の特徴があります。
現代の街並にはそのような「敷地の固有性」とは無関係に建物が建てられていることが多く、どの街も似たような表情になってしまっていることが少なくないと思います。
伝統色にも学びながら、「敷地」の魅力を最大限に活かしながら「この敷地だからこそ成立する建築」を創っていきたいと考えています。
This website uses two traditional colors, “Aitetsu” and “Geppaku”.
“Aitetsu” is considered to be one of the variations of indigo, and it is popular as a “Edo-mae” and “Iki” color.
“Geppaku” is a pale bluish white.
This is the color that represents the main theme of waka poems, “the moonlight floating in the night sky.”
Traditional Japanese colors reflect the lifestyles, thoughts, and sensibilities of the ancients who lived in Japan, which is rich in seasonal expressions.
I feel that it is good for us today.
We also have much to learn from traditional Japanese colors.
Each “site” on which a building is built has its own unique natural environmental characteristics.
In today’s townscapes, buildings are often built regardless of such “property of the site”.
While learning about traditional colors, I would like to create architecture that is “only possible because of this site.”
